Frequently
Asked Questions
Hotels
in the Area?
A:
There are many hotels nearby Bally’s- I have listed only a few of those
closest to the event. Please call for more information about where to
stay. If you have a car or are renting a car, I can give you more
suggestions. Baton Rouge is spread out and our transportation (taxis) is not
the best. However, on Bluebonnet Blvd. alone there is the Mall of
Louisiana, many excellent restaurants, and Perkins Rowe with Bally’s,
Entertainment, Nightlife, and Shopping!

Q: Do I need to be a competitor to attend the camp?
A:
The camp is designed to prepare beginners and experienced competitors for
competition, it is for all levels of fitness. You do not have to have prior
competition experience to attend. The camp can also be beneficial for those
wanting to improve their fitness level and may not be sure if competition is
what they really want. I encourage anyone who seeks a greater challenge,
who wants to improve as a competitor, or who wants to prepare themselves to
compete for the first time to attend.
Q: Do I need to get into shape or be in fitness competition shape for the
camp?
A:
No. You do not need to be in any certain shape for the camp. You will be
there to learn and everyone should feel comfortable. In no way is this a
competition!
Q: What do I need to bring to the camp?
A:
Once registered for the camp, you will get a list of things you will need
for the camp. Including details of meals, snacks, transportation, etc.
